Hospitals Merge as DASCO Breaks Ground in Odessa
Palm Beach Gardens, FL — June 21, 2007 - DASCO Companies and Odessa Regional Medical Center recently hosted the official ground breaking for a 40,000 square foot medical office building to be constructed on the hospital’s campus. DASCO was selected to develop and own the new facility and will be responsible for all phases of the project including design and construction oversight, financing and leasing. Planned completion is April 2008.
Located in West Texas, Odessa Regional Medical Center offers comprehensive services for the entire family. Founded as a women’s and children’s specialty hospital in 1975, ORH has evolved into a full-service hospital, providing care for families in Odessa and surrounding communities. In May 2007, IASIS Healthcare, the parent company of Odessa Regional Hospital, purchased Alliance Hospital, a private hospital specializing in cardiac and orthopedic care which is located across the street. Plans are now underway to construct a bridge to connect the two hospitals. The facility is now known as Odessa Regional Medical Center.
