DASCO Acquisitions expand to Chattanooga
Palm Beach Gardens, FL — July 2005 - DASCO Companies purchased two medical office buildings in
Chattanooga, Tennessee from Memorial Health Care System for a combined total of 110,000 SF. Both buildings
are located on the campus of Memorial Hospital.
With four floors, the Memorial Plaza Building is directly connected to the hospital and includes a large
oncology group. The Memorial Mission Surgery Building includes a full-service surgery center with private
physician offices. Both properties are near 100 percent capacity. DASCO provides both leasing and property
management services on-site.
Opened in 1952, Memorial Hospital is the result of efforts by a group of Chattanooga citizens in the late
1940s to build a private, nonprofit hospital to alleviate a shortage of hospital beds and ensure healthcare
excellence in the community. Memorial is now licensed for 365 beds and offers a broad range of medical,
surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
The Memorial Health Care System is a member of Catholic Health Initiatives, a non-profit health system with
69 hospitals; 43 long-term care, assisted and independent living and residential facilities; and five
community-based health organizations located in 19 states. |
