DASCO Adds Second MOB on CMMC Campus
Palm Beach Gardens, FL — October 2005 - DASCO Companies recently celebrated the opening of the Central Mississippi
Medical Center (CMMC) Medical Office Building II with a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 21. This is DASCO's second MOB
on the CMMC campus. CMMC is a 473-bed acute care facility located in the Jackson, Miss., metropolitan area and is the
largest hospital in the Health Management Associates, Inc., system.
The first MOB on this campus was designed in 2002 to allow for future expansion to accommodate anticipated demand. The
hospital, HKS, Inc. architects and DASCO worked together to design a lobby to serve the original building that is now
shared by both buildings. Construction on 42,000 square foot MOB began in the fall of 2004 and was completed in June 2005.
In addition to medical specialists such as neurology and gastroenterology, the MOB also houses a state-of-the-art breast health
center, outpatient imaging and a weight management center.
DASCO was responsible for all phases of the project including design and construction oversight, financing, leasing and also
provides management services. |
