DASCO Companies Completes Cancer Center in Maryland
Palm Beach Gardens, FL — December 20, 2006 - DASCO Companies is pleased to announce the completion of The Cancer
Institute on the campus of St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. The 64,000 square foot facility includes an
Oncology Center, two linear accelerators, a major Cardiology Group, Lab and various physician practices. The four-story
building is connected by covered walkway with the parking garage and main hospital building. It is 100% leased.
The campus of St. Joseph Medical Center did not easily allow for expansion. SJMC turned to DASCO for assistance in developing
a site plan for a very congested part of the campus. DASCO, working with local design professionals, developed a solution that
worked well for the hospital and was well-received by the physician community.

St. Joseph Medical Center is an acute care, regional medical center with 374 acute and 26 transitional care beds located in Towson,
Maryland. St. Joseph has more than 1,100 physicians on its medical staff representing more than 50 medical specialties. St. Joseph
is also the twenty-first largest employer in the Baltimore area, employing more than 2,700 nurses, allied healthcare professionals
and others. Services provided at St. Joseph include a heart institute, orthopedic institute, family childbirth center, sleep disorder
center, emergency department, urgent care center and a full range of diagnostic services. SJMC is a member of Catholic Health
Initiatives, a national holding company of 65 Catholic hospitals and more than 50 long term-care facilities.
DASCO was responsible for all phases of the project, including design and construction oversight, financing, leasing and also provides
ongoing property management services.
